Report on Coregonus wartmanni (drifting nets) for the year 2022
The total catch of whitefish in 2022 (Coregonus wartmanni, Coregonus macrophthalmus, Coregonus arenicolus) was 21.25 tonnes. The catch of C. wartmanni in the 2022 fishing year was 16.65 tonnes, which is very low. The C. wartmanni catch is only 4.4 % of the long-term average (375.2 tonnes). The situation with C. macrophthalmus was even worse than with C. wartmanni. In 2022, 3.5 tonnes were caught. The catch of C. macrophthalmus is only 3.5 % of the long-term average (99.2 tonnes).
